Senior Care ManagementSince 1999, the JFS Senior Care Management program has assisted older adults in the Coachella Valley with vital advocacy and case management services. The program enables seniors to enjoy a higher quality of life while maintaining the greatest degree of independence.
Services are open to those who are 60 and older of all faiths and economic levels. Many of the seniors in the program are home-bound and live on a fixed income. In addition, for family members residing out of the area and want peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe and well cared for, JFS provided in-home case management services on a sliding fee scale.

Senior Advocates of the Desert
Senior Advocates of the Desert is the Coachella Valley’s only nonprofit social service organization dedicated exclusively to helping low-income seniors obtain the government benefits to which they are entitled, but have been unable to access on their own.
The assistance we provide often results in a livable income, food in the kitchen, a safe comfortable place to live, full healthcare benefits and in-home help that keeps seniors out of hospitals and nursing homes. This also benefits our community as a whole and reduces the burdens on organizations such as food banks, emergency rooms and shelters.
We also provide emergency financial assistance to qualifying low-income seniors who, through no fault of the their own, find themselves in a financial crisis. This is a service greatly needed and under-served here in the Coachella Valley and we feel fortunate, as the recipient of several grants, to be able to help seniors in need.
All of our services are provided free of charge.By keeping our overhead low, over 95% of donations go directly to helping low-income seniors.
