Flavors to Overflow at Chili Cook Off/Beer, Wine Tasting Event
You can taste many of these flavors at Cathedral City Senior Center’s Third Annual Chili Cook Off/Craft Beer and Wine Tasting event. The fund-raiser will take place Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Senior Center’s main dining room and outdoor patio.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
The Super Fan Favorite Award
A total of some 20 amateur cooks and professional chefs will compete in the “People’s Choice” and “Super Fan Favorite” awards –for a $300 first-place cash prize in each category. Chili tasters will receive one ballot upon entering the venue, which they will cast in the People’s Choice competition. Then, they can buy as many tickets as the want at $5 each to vote in the Super Fan Favorite category.
Winners will be announced at approximately 1:30 p.m.
The variety of flavors will not end with chili. Craft beer and wine tastings will also be available.
2-2-2 Chili Cook Off 2020 at The CCSC
` Flights and single servings of premium craft beers and select wines will be chosen by Nicolino’s Famous Italian Restaurant and sold at back-to-back bars. Proceeds from bar sales will go to the Cathedral City Evening Rotary Club, whose members will staff it. Beer and wine will be sold for $10 for a flight of five tastings and $5 for a single beer or a glass of wine.
Commemorative Poster – Local artist Gerry High has been commissioned to produce a limited edition, original artwork commemorative poster. The posters will be available on site the day of the event.

The mission of the Cathedral City Senior Center is to improve the quality of life for seniors 55+ living in Cathedral City and surrounding communities. The purpose of the Senior Center is to assist all seniors, from the active to the home-bound, by providing services that channel energy, relieve suffering and protect health, happiness and well-being.
The Cathedal City Senior Center is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3). Donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by IRS rules and regulations. The Senior Center is supported primarily through memberships, gifts, grants and donations from individuals and local philanthropic organizations.
Activities & Services
The Cathedral City Senior Center offers activities and services which include social, recreational, educational and health-related programs to over 600 members and many others who are directly involved with the Center from the community at large and from the Braille Institute.
